A Letter from our New Principal...

August 21, 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I am Dr. Tricia Hairston, the newly appointed principal of Paint Branch Elementary School. I welcome you and your family to the 2018-2019 school year. I am very excited to be a part of the Paint Branch Family and look forward to embracing the “greatness” that Paint Branch ES has to offer. One priority, among many, is to establish a collaborative partnership with parents, business leaders, and other stakeholders that will support our school with achieving academic excellence.

As a child, my biggest dream was to become an educator. I am currently entering my twenty-eighth year of tenure with the Prince George’s County Public School System. I have had the honor of serving students and parents in the capacity as a Special Education Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Regional Instructional Specialist, Area and Instructional Director. I am a product of the Prince George’s County Public School System. I am proud to share that I graduated from two of the county’s most prestigious institutes, which are the University of Maryland, College Park and Bowie State University.

I look forward to start this exciting journey with you and thank you in advance for this unique opportunity to serve you and your family.

Educationally yours,

Dr. Tricia Hairston

April is National Autism Awareness Month!

National Autism Awareness Month represents an excellent opportunity to promote autism awareness, autism acceptance and to draw attention to the tens of thousands facing an autism diagnosis each year.
